AN APPEAL TO EVERYONE WHO WORKS WITH CHILDREN. YOUTH DIRECTORS - CHILDREN'S WORKERS: We plead with you to come and learn how to stop SEX CRIMES against our children.

The House of Worship Safety Conference is dedicated to addressing the unfortunate reality that violence at houses of worship continues to occur across the nation. This important event is designed to help leaders, staff, and volunteers learn how to better protect their congregations from potential threats. Attendees will gain valuable insights and practical strategies to create a safer environment, ensuring their place of worship remains a sanctuary for all who enter. The conference will also explore what the prepared person “looks like” on Sunday morning—how they carry themselves, remain alert, and balance a welcoming spirit with a vigilant mindset.

During the conference, experts will present on a variety of critical topics aimed at enhancing security and awareness. Sessions will cover verbal de-escalation techniques to help defuse tense situations before they escalate, guidance on selecting and training the right individuals for your safety team, and best practices for strategically positioning team members throughout the facility. Participants will also examine the biblical question: Does Scripture justify protecting the flock?—providing a faith-based perspective that reinforces the moral and spiritual responsibility of safeguarding the congregation. These actionable strategies are designed to strengthen your safety plan and ensure that your team is prepared to respond effectively to different scenarios.

In addition, participants will learn about crucial measures for preventing sex crimes and other forms of abuse within the worship setting. The conference will address not only the physical safety of congregants but also the protection of their dignity and well-being. With an array of other relevant topics and resources available, the House of Worship Safety Conference equips leaders and volunteers with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to guard their faith community against modern-day threats—while staying true to their mission of love, care, and service.

Learn how to keep your church safe by training on the principles of Run-Hide-Fight in case of emergencies.

AIRSOFT EQUIPTMENT

WILL BE PROVIDED

This hands-on class will demonstrate the core principles of Run-Hide-Fight. We will analyze real-life case studies, evaluate integration with emergency action plans and take part in a practical exercise using Airsoft Equipment.

AIRSOFT EQUPMENT WILL BE PROVIDED. This class will be led by instructors from the Active Threat Response Preparedness Division.

This course aims to train non-traditional first responders, including civilian employees, students, faculty, staff, patrons, and any other individuals who live, work, or visit any location where an active threat incident may occur. Participants will learn about the Run-Hide-Fight response approach that can be applied in any active threat incident, regardless of the location or other factors involved. The course focuses on the various components of the Run- Hide-Fight response approach, which is widely accepted and taught as one of the primary response strategies regarding active threat incidents.

During the course, participants will discuss the three primary beliefs of the response approach, evaluate how the approach can be incorporated into existing building emergency action plans, complete a practical exercise in which they will demonstrate the response options, and become familiar with notable case studies in which the response options were either implemented or could have been implemented to prevent or mitigate the attacks. The course includes lectures, group discussions, and practical application of course material and seeks to prepare the target audience for an active threat incident by providing participants with plausible and effective response options.

This class is provided at no cost through the generosity of Right To Bear and our speakers. Click below to reserve your seat!
