MEMBER

All applicants are first vetted to confirm their status in one of the following.

1. Paid or volunteer role of safety or security at a faith-based organization.

2. Leadership role (not required to be safety or security related) at a faith-based organization. Can be a pastor, priest, youth leader, deacon, board member, teacher etc.

3. Emergency fire or medical first responders

4. Military, health care or first responder (police / fire / medical) chaplains

5. During the application process we ask for a contact person within your organization. We ask for this verification information as part of our vetting process to ensure the integrity, safety, and credibility of the Oklahoma Safety Coalition, including confirming your involvement with your organization and any leadership role through a designated contact person.

6. Active/Reserve law enforcement officers or applicable certifying agency if out of state or federal officer. (Federal, State, Local, Educational or Industry CLEET certified). NOTE: Must have arrest authority.

Please review the Oklahoma Safety Coalition Code of Conduct which ALL applicants must agree to in the application process (you will be asked if you agree).

Our purpose is to help Faith Based Organizations (FBO) increase their level of safety and security and promote relationships and networking opportunities. The Oklahoma Safety Coalition is committed to equipping houses of worship with the knowledge, resources, and strategies they need to safeguard their congregations from violence and other threats. We understand that houses of worship should be places of peace, but the reality of today’s world means preparedness is essential.
